Before the opening concert of the arts festival in Vitebsk, representatives of the security service of President Alexander Lukashenko voiced the demands they make on journalists.
Media representatives were asked to arrive two hours before the start of the event, of which one hour is dedicated to launching the press and artists into the hall and backstage, respectively. That is, journalists will already be denied access to their seats about an hour before the start of the concert.
Members of the press were also asked not to photograph the president after he left the stage. It should also be borne in mind that if a journalist leaves the hall while the head of state is at the concert, he will not be allowed back.
Also, journalists were strongly advised to ask questions to the security guards in all incomprehensible situations, not showing independence in trying to solve them.
