Deputy of the Iranian Majilis and member of the commission of the Islamic Council of Iran on Culture Hossein Jalali announced that women without a hijab will freeze their bank accounts, the newspaper writes. Donya-e-Eqtesad.
According to Jalali, women who wear the hijab incorrectly or do not wear it at all will be given a written warning as a preventive measure. If the women break the rules a second time, their bank accounts will be seized.
The parliamentarian is sure that such a decision will nullify the protests in the country within a couple of weeks.
Recall that since September a wave of protests swept through Iran – in response to the brutal murder of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini by police.
