Before writing – one day

Just one day. And tomorrow, school graduates will write a final essay, without which it is impossible to get admission to the State Final Attestation. Anyone who receives the coveted “test” will automatically have access to the Unified State Examinations. If someone receives a “failure” or for some other reason does not write the final essay, they will be able to hand it in on additional days: February 1 or May 3, 2023.

The topics of the essay will be announced to the children on the day of the essay. This year, the rules for preparing for the final essay have changed. If before the guys knew in advance five areas within which the topics of the essay were determined, then this year they refused to publish these areas. It was decided to choose essay topics from a common open bank of tasks, which includes topics from previous years.

In the Open Task Bank they are divided into three main sections: “Spiritual and moral guidelines in a person’s life”, “Family, society, Fatherland in a person’s life” and “Nature and culture in a person’s life”. As written in the rules, a set of essay topics for each region will be announced 15 minutes before the start of work. However, it will definitely include two topics from each section, that is, not 5, but 6 topics will appear in the kit for the student to choose from.

As the academic secretary of the Federal Institute for Pedagogical Measurements, Elena Zinina, said at the beginning of the school year, the final essay tests the ability of the children to express their thoughts. There are two main requirements for it, failure to comply with any of which automatically leads to a “failure” assessment: a volume of at least 250 words (recommended – from 350 words) and independent writing of the final essay.

The latter is especially important, since recently graduates have not been creative enough in their work, in particular, their texts can be overloaded with clichés and jagged passages. And in this you can see the elements of dragging on an essay. In fact, in an essay, school graduates must demonstrate the ability to express their thoughts and argue their position on a particular issue.
