Three to stand trial
Moscow region investigators have completed the investigation of a criminal case on a gas explosion in a residential building in Noginsk. Recall that on September 8 last year, as a result of a gas-air mixture in one of the apartments, four floors of one of the entrances collapsed. The victims of the incident were 7 people.
According to Olga Vradiy, senior assistant to the head of the Main Investigative Committee of the ICR for the Moscow Region, the investigation found that the cause of the emergency was a gas leak from a non-metallic piping to a gas stove installed in the apartment on the floor below. This apartment was not properly inspected by the chief engineer of the in-house gas service organization. In addition, the accumulation of gas provoked a clogged ventilation duct. It turned out that the general director of the management company did not conclude a contract for the maintenance of ventilation ducts in the house.
During the investigation, 183 people were interrogated as witnesses, 97 examinations were carried out. In the near future, the director of the organization for servicing intra-apartment gas equipment, the director of the management company and the master for servicing common house equipment will appear before the court.
