Indian lunar module successfully lowered orbit before landing

The Indian module with the Pragyan lunar rover successfully descended before landing on the moon. This was stated by the Indian Space Research Organization. The station took two maneuvers to reach an altitude of 25 km from the lunar surface.
Now the engineers must check the performance of the equipment. Only after that will landing on the moon begin. It is scheduled for August 23rd.
On July 14, India launched a rocket with an automatic interplanetary station. On August 5, it was launched into lunar orbit. After that, the landing module separated from the station and began its descent.
The module carries a lunar rover weighing 20 kg. According to the research plan, the equipment should land on the Earth satellite and take soil samples. The mission is designed for 14 Earth days.
India has already attempted to land on the moon. In 2019, the module was launched into orbit, but then communication with it was lost. It crashed upon landing.
