India launched another batch of OneWeb satellites instead of Russia

The Indian Space Research Organization announced the launch of a heavy LVM3 rocket with 36 OneWeb communications satellites.
The rocket was launched on Sunday morning from the island of Sriharikota, located in the southeastern part of the country. The launch was broadcast on YouTube. This in-orbit launch will complete the deployment of a constellation of more than 600 OneWeb low-Earth satellites that will provide high-speed Internet to every corner of the world from space.
OneWeb is a satellite system designed to provide broadband internet. In 2015, OneWeb signed a contract with Russia to launch satellites into orbit. From 2019 to February 2022, Russia carried out 13 launches to place OneWeb satellites into orbit, all of them successful. After the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, cooperation was terminated, on April 20, OneWeb signed a contract with the Indian company NewSpace India Limited.
This is not the first launch of OneWeb satellites by India. On October 22, the Indian Space Research Organization announced that it had launched 36 OneWeb communications satellites into orbit for the first time.
