An open regional boxing tournament in memory of Nikolai Putin is taking place in Tomsk. Over 100 athletes participate in it.
Starting November 8, Tomsk hosts a regional boxing tournament in memory of Nikolai Putin. More than 100 athletes from the Tomsk, Kemerovo and Novosibirsk regions, Krasnoyarsk and Altai territories, Khakassia and Tyva, as well as a team from Kazakhstan, gathered in the Tomsk Polytechnic ring. At the opening ceremony, the chairman of the commission on physical culture and sports of the Tomsk Diocese, Priest Sergiy Belyaev, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
In his speech, the priest noted “the need to defend your choice of boxing and sports in general, through overcoming laziness and difficult circumstances, so all participants in the competition are already heroes.” He wished to do without injuries and not only rejoice in victory, but also lose with dignity, remembering that “through pain and suffering it is possible to achieve great success.”
Let us remind you that Nikolai Putin is the first boxing coach in the city of Seversk. During his coaching career, he trained four masters of sports of the USSR. The All-Russian Nikolai Putin Tournament has been held since 1995.
