The 2023-2024 season became revolutionary for volleyball in the Ivanovo region. Previously, regional volleyball in Ivanovo was represented only at the amateur level. The Tekstilshchik volleyball players represented their region in the First League competitions and in 2023 were able to achieve significant success, winning bronze medals in the final stage, held in the Ivanovo Palace of Team Sports. Before the start of the current season, Tekstilshchik managed to obtain professional status and gain a foothold in the Major League “B”.
In the professional division, the red-blacks managed to immediately begin to show good results. Based on the results of 22 matches played, Tekstilshchik volleyball players were in 3rd place in the standings, behind only Dagestan and VC Obninsk.
During the second part of the 2023-2024 season, Tekstilshchik volleyball players will have to discover new cities. One of these will be Makhachkala, where the red-blacks have not yet played in Major League B. The visit of “Textilshchik” to the capital of the Republic of Dagestan is planned for the period from March 14 to 17.
Tekstilshchik will play its first official match in 2024 on January 13. The team from Ivanovo will play against Obninsk on the opponent’s site.
