The first part of the 2023-2024 season was not the best time for the Ivanovo Tekstilshchik. The team from Ivanovo played in the updated “Silver” division of the Second League “A” and fought to fulfill specific tasks set by the management. The red-blacks were supposed to take a place in the top 4 of the Silver division and secure promotion to Gold, but this did not happen. Igor Kolyvanov’s team took only 5th place, losing by 1 point to FC Chelyabinsk.
During the summer transfer window, the composition of FC Tekstilshchik was supplemented by Alexey Evseev. A graduate of Zenit St. Petersburg, who previously performed at a high level, fit perfectly into Igor Kolyvanov’s playing model and became a player in the starting lineup. Alexey Evseev’s experience did not help Tekstilshchik reach the Golden Division, but the footballer himself played very usefully and became one of the team’s top scorers and the scorer of the best goal in the first part of the season.

“It was very difficult for me. I thought and hoped that I would spend my entire career at Zenit. It was hard for me to leave, I wanted to constantly play in St. Petersburg. Now I understand that if I had left earlier, it would have been better,” said Alexey .
