The Mariinsky diocese in the Kemerovo region decided to suspend deacon Alexander Sokolov from work with the mobilized, who reminded them of the coffins, as reported by the Rise telegram channel.
The diocese explained to the publication that Sokolov is not a priest, and he is only a deacon who replaced the priest that day. It is noted that he will not participate in further dispatches of the mobilized, especially since the dean is responsible for the dispatch of military personnel. Representatives of the diocese emphasized that Deacon Sokolov was told that his statements and inappropriate tone were unacceptable.
In addition, the diocese stated that the main task of the clergy at the moment is the moral support of those called up for service during partial mobilization and their families, raising the spirits of people.
