In Sochi at the RED Arena, Vladimir Minaev and Ivan Shtyrkov will compete in a kickboxing match

On November 18, Sochi will host the “Fight Club on REN TV” tournament (12+). Spectators will see 9 fights, the main one of which will be the confrontation between kickboxer Vladimir Mineev and mixed martial arts fighter Ivan Shtyrkov.
– The brightest confrontation of the fall and perhaps of the whole year awaits us. The fact is that in the domestic martial arts industry there are not many athletes who can attract the attention of a wide audience with their image and actions. Moreover, Vladimir and Ivan demonstrate the highest level of fighting skill. All this makes their fight equally interesting for both sports and entertainment connoisseurs. I am sure that a real and uncompromising thriller awaits us, as I said earlier – we stock up on validol and wait for November 18,” said tournament organizer Kamil Gadzhiev.
Vladimir Mineev won his last fight against Brazilian Rafael Carvalho, and Ivan Shtyrkov lost by technical knockout to Konstantin Erokhin.
In the co-main fight, the fate of the championship belt in the weight category up to 86 kg according to the rules of kilogram kickboxing will be decided by Russian Islam Murtazaev and Brazilian Jonathan Oliveira.
Each of the planned fights at RED ARENA will be accompanied by ring announcer Alexander Zagorsky. In turn, the Chairman of the Supreme Supervisory Board of the Russian Kickboxing Federation Batu Khasikov noted the importance of the upcoming tournament and its going beyond the scope of sports:
– I am confident that this bright event will become an incentive to unite people around the values of fair sports competition and mutual understanding, and will also have a positive impact on the development of cooperation between the SCO member states.
