A proposal to establish a ban on noisy repair work from 20:00 to 08:00 was made by the public organization “Business Russia”. The corresponding document was sent to the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation. The document also contains other proposals.
Among them, the introduction of “quiet time” from 14:00 to 16:00 and a ban on work on holidays and Sundays.
Now the “law on silence” does not apply to new buildings in the first year and a half after their completion. Repairs are allowed at any time, except at night.
Vladimir Koshelev, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Public Utilities, supported the initiative.
Violation of the Silence Law can result in a fine of up to 3,000 rubles. But the violators of the silence need to be caught “red-handed” for this.
