For the first time in Russia, a court in Chelyabinsk decided to terminate the citizenship of two brothers who came from neighboring countries for evading military registration. Now they must leave Russia or be deported.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that the decision to deprive citizenship was made in relation to “two young people aged 21 and 24.” When acquiring Russian citizenship, as the press service wrote, citizens subject to military registration are required to report to the military registration and enlistment office within 14 days.
