344 thousand doses of vaccine against measles, rubella and mumps will be sent to Russian regions. The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation reported this in its telegram channel.

According to the assistant to the head of the department, Alexei Kuznetsov, according to the single supplier of vaccines for the national vaccination calendar, the supply of drugs will be carried out under a state contract.

“In general, deliveries under the 2023 state contract in the amount of more than 2 million doses will be completed until April inclusive. Delivery delays, according to the manufacturer, are associated with technical problems during production,” the assistant minister emphasized.

Let us remind you that the topic of the high incidence of measles in Russia was raised the day before, on December 14, during the “Results with Vladimir Putin.” The presenter told the president that the incidence of this infection has increased 300 times, and in a number of regions they complained about a long-term lack of vaccines.

Vladimir Putin said that the raw material for the production of prophylactic drugs is egg, but there are difficulties with this product. However, a short time after discussing this issue, the Russian Ministry of Health reported that vaccines against measles, rubella and mumps will be sent to the regions of the country on December 22.
