The investigation of the Federal Security Service for the Arkhangelsk Region opened a criminal case against the Russian under the article of high treason; he is suspected of conspiring with the special services of Kyiv and preparing to set fire to a military unit. This was reported by the regional FSB press service.
“…the detainee entered into a conspiracy with representatives of the Ukrainian special services in order to carry out sabotage and terrorist activities…”, the statement said.
It is clarified that, on a tip from Ukrainian curators, he needed to commit a terrorist attack in the Arkhangelsk region – to set fire to the property of a military unit used during combat duty and performing other special tasks, in particular as part of a special operation.
In the fall of 2023, while preparing to commit sabotage, a criminal was detained by RUFSB officers.
Prior to this, a criminal case was initiated against the suspect under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 1 art. 205 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
To carry out the task, according to investigators, the defendant conducted reconnaissance near a military facility, photographed the property located on it, worked out the route of approach and departure, and also acquired and prepared means of arson.
