“A meeting was held with the relatives and friends of the mobilized participants of the SVO, representatives of the regional authorities, the mayor’s office of the city of Novosibirsk, the Ministry of Defense, the military prosecutor’s office, the Defenders of the Fatherland foundation, as well as the public organization Committee of the Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland.” The issues of conditions of service, provision of support to the families of SVO participants, and medical support were discussed,” said Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Novosibirsk Region – Minister of Regional Policy Andrei Klyuzov.
According to him, “the conversation turned out to be very frank and meaningful.” “The participants supported the idea of continuing regular interaction to jointly develop proposals to protect the rights of the mobilized and solve problems arising among the participants of the Northern Military District and their relatives,” he said.
The head of the regional Ministry of Health, Konstantin Khalzov, who was present at the meeting with the relatives of the mobilized, declined to comment.
“The main requirement is to give guys like my fiancé the opportunity to stay at home and take care of their parents. His mother is a disabled person of the first group, there is no one to look after her. He was mobilized in October last year, and he is still there,” one of the meeting participants told Kommersant-Sibir.
Last week it became known that the organizers of a rally against indefinite mobilization in Krasnoyarsk had been refused. It was planned for November 19. The ban was introduced due to coronavirus restrictions in force in the region, the city mayor’s office told Kommersant-Sibir. In this regard, public events have been suspended until the sanitary and epidemiological situation improves.
