In Moscow, the daily number of cases of infection with COVID-19 has almost doubled

In Moscow, 8,610 cases of coronavirus infection were registered over the past day. This is 74.08% more than the day before (4946). The number of daily hospitalizations amounted to 338 – 10 people less than the previous indicator (348), the federal operational headquarters for combating COVID-19 said. During the day, 26 cases died in the capital, a total of 45,581.

Across Russia, 51,735 cases of coronavirus infection were detected – 17.4% more than on September 13 (44,045). 4481 people were hospitalized – 3.9% less than the previous figure (4663). 98 people died in the country, for the entire period of the pandemic – 385,628.

Regions leading in the number of new cases:

• Moscow – 8610 (for all time – 3,116,224),
• St. Petersburg – 3623 (1 703 997),
• Samara region – 1777 (430 862),
• Krasnodar Territory – 1729 (314 663),
• Moscow region – 1660 (1,081,451).

Since the end of summer, the sixth wave of coronavirus has begun in the country. In August, Roszdravnadzor recommended Resume COVID-19 vaccination in areas with high incidence. As shown VTsIOM poll55% of Russians are afraid of getting sick with the virus.
