The head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, said that they intend to replace signboards with Latin names in Crimea.

In his Telegram channel, the speaker wrote that today in any city you can find dozens, “if not hundreds of signboards with the names of commercial organizations in Latin.” Konstantinov is referring to the overuse of English and other foreign words. “All this is the result of our Westernism, blind imitation,” the speaker wrote, noting that “it must be got rid of.”

The State Council of Crimea will closely deal with the solution of this problem at the regional level, Konstantinov announced the plans of local legislators. He has no doubt that “Crimea will be able to achieve serious and high-quality results” in this direction.
