Ilya Reznik told if Pugacheva will come to his anniversary

“We have a special connection”

Ilya Reznik is preparing for the anniversary. On April 4, the legendary poet will turn 85 years old. On this occasion, the maestro plans to arrange a big concert in Moscow. Fans are waiting for Reznik and Alla Pugachev, whom the master always called his sister.

Reznik’s songs occupy a special place in Pugacheva’s repertoire. “Old Clock”, “Three Happy Days”, “Maestro” – without these hits, the work of Alla Borisovna, probably, can hardly be imagined.

– With Alla, we went through a huge time span of life, – says Ilya Rakhmielevich. – We had everything: great friendship, and misunderstandings. We have overcome everything together. Alla and I have always had a special connection. Once she gave concerts at the Olimpiyskiy, where she presented our new song with Raymond. I decided to see how it does. He went up to the podium and began to sing along with her. After the first chorus, I forgot the words. And I understand that Allah is too. After the concert, she says: “Ilyusha, were you in the hall?” I say yes”. “Never do that again! Do you see how it works?” she told me. That’s the kind of connection we have with her.

At the last anniversary of Reznik, Pugacheva performed for forty minutes. This time, apparently, Alla Borisovna will not be.

“Unfortunately, I’m not expecting Alla for my anniversary,” says Reznik. She will definitely return to her homeland. I think so. But not now.
