The calendar year 2023 is coming to an end, which was definitely not special in Russian football. On November 20, it became known that the winner of the “Gentleman of the Year” award in Russian football was CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov, who beat out Anton Miranchuk and Igor Kalinin in the voting. This award has been presented since 1993.

“I don’t know Chalov closely, but since he was recognized as a football gentleman, then he deserves it. But on the field he really behaves like a gentleman. I’ve never heard rude statements from him,” said Igor Kolyvanov.
