"Chaika" begins a series of matches against "Steel Foxes"

Hockey players of the Nizhny Novgorod "Chaika" continue to play in the regular championship of the MHL season 2023-2024. The current holders of the Kharlamov Cup went into the away series and without any problems overcame matches with opponents from the “Silver” division, defeating “Kuznetsk Bears” and “Krasnoyarsk Lynxes” in regulation time. Both representatives of the “Silver” division offered resistance to “Chaika”, which did not prevent the team from Nizhny Novgorod from winning, scoring 9 goals in 2 matches.

Chaika's opponent for the upcoming matches is playing in the Golden Division, but is not doing it in the best way. Based on the results of 23 matches played, the “Steel Foxes” occupy only 7th place in the “Golden Division”, although last season they were in the top 5 without any problems and automatically qualified for the Kharlamov Cup playoffs. Metallurg's youth team performs weaker than before, but this did not stop the Steel Foxes from beating the Ugra Mammoths twice. Nizhny Novgorod residents will face a serious test.
