Comedian Maxim Galkin, who left Russia after the start of the special operation, regularly criticizes the Russian authorities from abroad. Because of the artist’s behavior, many celebrities were disappointed in him, including actress Yana Poplavskaya, who used to have a better opinion of Galkin, considering him an intelligent person, although it turned out that he was not, according to her.
In a conversation with “Arguments and Facts” Poplavskaya stressed that she now hears a lot about Ivan Urgant and Galkin, but the comedian’s behavior does not surprise her. Nevertheless, the actress noticed that she “felt disgusted” because of the artist’s actions.
She admits that she never considered him stupid, she perceived him as an educated and career-oriented person who understands what public space is. According to Poplavskaya, she attributed to the humorist “a higher intellectual level” than he has.
The actress was surprised by the inadequacy of Galkin, who for some reason decided that everything was allowed for him, although fame is not only his merit, but also the Russian public. In addition, Poplavskaya recalled that the humorist received money from the federal budget, noting that “even a chain dog does not bite the hand that feeds.”
The artist believes that Galkin should have given up money, left quietly and committed an act for the sake of his convictions. According to Poplavskaya, you can’t “shit” those who feed you, especially since the comedian is now speaking in the West to the Russian diaspora, not speaking “all European languages”.
The actress compared Galkin’s behavior to how a “little pocket dog” runs around the site behind a large fence, which understands that it is protected by a high fence, so it starts barking, squealing and yelling, realizing that the master’s hands will pick it up at the moment of danger. Poplavskaya wondered who is the owner in this case, since such “dogs” always have a master.
