“If a private clinic provides outpatient services and is registered in the register of the territorial compulsory health insurance fund, it can be treated under the CHI policy,” the report says.

Lists of such clinics are available on the websites of the territorial CHI funds. Thus, the addresses and names of all clinics providing services under compulsory medical insurance in the capital are indicated on site Moscow City Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund. The list of medical institutions that are included in the CHI system is regularly updated. To clarify whether it is possible to attach to a particular clinic, you can contact your health insurance organization (its address and phone number are indicated on the back of the CHI policy) or at the clinic itself.

To attach to the selected medical institution, you need to pay a personal visit there and write an application, as well as provide data (sometimes originals and copies) of your passport, medical policy and SNILS number.

The application must be considered within 12 days.

“Neither public nor private clinics can refuse to attach due to registration in another region or city. At the same time, you can change the clinic for compulsory medical insurance once a year, more often only when you change your place of residence, ”the message on Explain.rf says.

If you were denied attachment or provision of medical assistance under the CHI program for no reason, you can file a complaint with your insurance company, Roszdravnadzor or the League of Patient Defenders.
