For admission to a financial institution, my son studied a lot with a tutor in mathematics and, in my opinion, passed poorly, gaining 36 points. This was enough only for admission on a paid basis. The reason, in my opinion, is that he changed the tutor, seduced by the trendy online. Online tutoring is complete bullshit, parents don’t trust him, it’s total bullshit! But in Russian, he did not study at all with a tutor, but he passed it by 78 points. The schoolteacher had been scolding him all year for missing classes. She got him, forced him to do it. Bottom line – invested knowledge.

Winners, bypassing the exam, can immediately enter the university. Of course, their number is not very large, but this is a good alternative to the USE system for those who seriously want to profile one subject.

Children go crazy, parents are terribly worried about them. And the exam itself does not always reflect knowledge, it mostly reflects the ability to fill out tests.

From time to time I also pass various management tests to improve my skills, and sometimes I want to describe the talent of their compilers with some very “affectionate” word. There is a technique for asking questions, and I have a favorite example when the question is: “Have you stopped salting babies when you eat them at night?” No matter how you answer, you will still be guilty. In the USE system, it is no longer knowledge that is checked, but the ability to answer the test. This is more of a lottery than a knowledge test.

I only went to the “samplers”, immersed myself with other parents in the atmosphere in order to understand how the children would feel. The son prepared on his own, then he entered and graduated from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. And the daughter turned to us for help with tutors in English and social studies. It was a purposeful preparation for passing the exam for a high score for entering the university. So without financial investments in tutors now it is impossible.

I like the idea of ​​equalizing the chances of schoolchildren for admission. The USE is clearly a measure of knowledge, but it does not give a complete picture of their depth. It is very difficult to pass the exam for a high score without additional preparation. Older children studied with tutors in all subjects for the exam. This is expensive even for families with a decent income, so income inequality can partly affect the results of the Unified State Examination and, as a result, further admission.
