Aisen Nikolaev expresses confidence that the international sports games “Children of Asia”, which will take place in the republic, will be held at the highest level. The head of the republic yesterday, January 31, summed up the results of the month in the program “Yakutia, Forward!”, where he discussed a major event of this year – the international sports games “Children of Asia”.
In 2024, “Children of Asia” will undoubtedly become the largest international competition throughout our country. The biggest competitions among children will definitely take place. We expect that at least 20-25 countries will take part,” said Aisen Nikolaev.
He also said that the preparation of sports facilities is going according to plan. The renovation of some of the facilities has already been completed, while work is actively underway on the rest.
“We hope that the main work will be completed by May. And we are confident that all deadlines will be met. It is planned to begin work on the improvement of Yakutsk, but preparatory work is already underway. The city authorities know what tasks lie ahead of them, and are confident that that through joint efforts with the townspeople a positive result will be achieved. One of the important areas is the preparation of accommodation and food for athletes. In this area, our main partner is NEFU (Siberian Federal University). This week we met with the rector Anatoly Nikolaev and discussed several issues requiring an immediate solution,” the head of the region emphasized.
