On February 6, Vsevolod Bogdanov, a Soviet and Russian journalist, long-term (from 1992 to 2017) head of the Union of Journalists of Russia, celebrates his anniversary.

This is one of the most experienced and professional media managers in the country, who received a specialized education at the Faculty of Journalism of Leningrad University and went through all stages of the Soviet newspaper career. Bogdanov was a correspondent and editor for the regional press (Magadanskaya Pravda), a special correspondent for the central newspaper (Soviet Russia in its golden years of the early 1980s) and, finally, a curator of the Soviet press of the perestroika era.

At the peak of perestroika, he headed Central Television, and after the collapse of the USSR, he took the place of head of the Union of Journalists of Russia for a quarter of a century. Now, when both Soviet and modern experience in media management are equally important, we wish the hero of the day good health, faithful students and creative demand.
