Head of Roscosmos: Russia may remain in the ISS project until 2028

Russia with a “high degree of probability” will participate in the International Space Station (ISS) project until the end of 2028. This was stated by the head of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov.
At the end of July, he claimed that Russia would withdraw from the project after 2024, when it would begin to form its own orbital stations.
In July NASA already declaredthat Moscow will remain on the ISS for four years longer than previously announced by Roscosmos. NASA space operations chief Kathy Lueders called contacts with the Russian state corporation business as usual and said that she had not received any information about changes in general plans as a matter of course.
Earlier it became known that from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on Wednesday started the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle carrying the Soyuz MS-22 transport manned spacecraft to the ISS. The flight is carried out within the framework of a new agreement on cross-flights to the ISS, concluded by the Russian Federation and the United States.
