Governor Kondratiev assured PMC “Wagner” in the absence of obstacles for the burial of fighters in Goryachiy Klyuch

A representative of the PMC “Wagner” met with the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev and received assurances that there would be no obstacles to the burial places of PMC “Wagner” fighters, reports Telegram channel “Prigozhin’s press service”.
The regional administration did not comment on the situation.
The statement was made in connection with the conflict situation around the burial of Wagner PMC fighters in the village of Bakuskaya in the resort town of Goryachiy Klyuch. On Saturday, March 18, a message appeared on the Telegram channel of the head of the city, Sergei Belopolsky, that the city’s public was against the mass burial of fighters.
“I respect the active fighters of PMC Wagner and the memory of those who have already given their lives for their Motherland! But I cannot but listen to the opinion of the public that it is wrong to make the resort city of Goryachiy Klyuch a place for a mass grave of fighters. I am sure that there are enough municipalities in the region that are not resort towns for burial with the creation of appropriate memorials,” said the mayor of Goryachiy Klyuch.
In response, PMC fighters and Yevgeny Prigozhin himself recorded sharp appeals to the official, Mr. Prigozhin promised bring the bodies of the dead to the mayor’s home.
On Sunday, another funeral was held in the village of Bakuskaya for five dead PMC fighters. As Deputy of the Legislative Assembly Denis Khmelevskoy (Fair Russia), who was present there, told Kommersant, the mourning event passed without conflicts, none of the representatives of the Goryachiy Klyuch administration appeared at the cemetery.
The burial place of PMC “Wagner” fighters within the boundaries of the resort town of Goryachiy Klyuch was chosen due to the fact that it is on the territory of this municipality that the PMC base (the Molkino training ground) is located.
