Journalist Katerina Gordeeva (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent) announced her return to work on the YouTube project “Tell Gordeeva.” A week ago she reported about the closure of the project due to the law banning the placement of advertising by foreign agents. Today this law was approved by the Federation Council.

According to a message published in the Telegram channel “Tell Gordeeva,” after the announcement of the suspension of work, viewers suggested many ways to continue working without advertising: for example, their material support and cooperation at no cost.

The message from the project team says that “Tell Gordeeva” will “try to survive” and is now thinking “how to reform economically in new circumstances.” “True, at least at first, we will really need your help… In general, we have created all the popular money-collecting platforms in the hope that you will understand and support us,” the post says.

After the State Duma adopted a law banning advertising by foreign agents, journalist Alexey Pivovarov (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent) announced that he would transfer the YouTube channel “Editorial” and the Telegram channel of the same name to the team working on the project. The project is now called “Context”.
