Four saboteurs in the Penza region received sentences ranging from 8 to 11 years
The press service of the Penza Regional Court reports that on Wednesday, March 6, the court sentenced to actual prison terms four young people who committed arson on railway infrastructure in Penza in December 2022.
The press service report states that the Penza Regional Court sentenced four residents of the Penza region who were found guilty of two acts of sabotage, namely arson, which were aimed at destroying transport infrastructure and vehicles in order to undermine the economic security and defense capability of Russia.
It is noted that one of the defendants denied his involvement in the commission of crimes, and the other three, in turn, admitted guilt in whole or in part. The minor involved in the case was sentenced to eight years in prison in a correctional colony, the rest were sentenced to 11 years in prison. They will serve the first two years of their sentence in prison, and the remainder of the sentence in a maximum security correctional colony.
