In the Atlantic Ocean, a 227-pound fish swallowed a blacknose gray shark in front of fishermen
The Daily Mirror newspaper reports that a 227-pound fish swallowed a blacknose gray shark whole in front of fishermen in the Atlantic Ocean near the US city of Goodland, Florida.
According to the publication, the captain of the fishing vessel, John Brossard, along with his crew, went fishing near the coast, when three huge guasses began circling near their yacht, waiting for the catch. The newspaper noted that at the moment when the fishermen caught another blacknose gray shark, one of these fish swallowed the shark whole, breaking the line.
The captain pointed out that they were fishing in areas where there are many different predators, including sharks, alligators, crocodiles, pythons and many others. Brossard added that after the incident, he wondered if sharks deserved their fearsome reputation. He believes that sometimes they really deserve it, but most of the time they don’t.
