“Gasification in our area is going into overdrive!”

According to official data, in the Rostov region in 2021–2025 it is planned to gasify 36 thousand households and apartments. They are also planning to lay almost 2 thousand new gas pipelines. It is known that in this region more than 27 thousand people have applied for social gasification. And many families have already tasted the fruits of the additional gasification program. We were able to talk to some of these lucky ones.

For example, the family of Vitaly Kandyba submitted a “gas” application this year.

– I don’t remember the exact date. I only know that with all the consequences it took a little more than 4 months to complete everything. I remember that I had to wait the longest for the project. The guys completed the rest of the steps quickly! – says Vitaly. – And the delay with the project turned out for the reason that we have not yet permanently lived in the house that was gasified. Its area is not very large – only 100 square meters. After all, this building is located in a dacha non-profit partnership (DNT) on the outskirts of Bataysk. Our family used to be big. And now the children have grown up and left the nest. They are already 30 years old or more. And yet, they are here next to us. We live in the same city – our native Bataysk. Only they have their own apartments. And today we enjoy life together with my wife. We also have two cats: Countess Nyashka and the tramp Bas.

Life is just beginning in retirement

Vitaly shared his observation that in the second half of his life many opportunities opened up for him.

– In general, we now have the freedom of choice: if you want, live in a city apartment, or if you want – in a DNT. From the apartment to the dacha is only 5–7 kilometers,” says Vitaly. “But there’s more freedom at the dacha.” Everything grows and smells. We have a lot of raspberries, and a lot of fruit trees, and planted decorative bushes. Live and be happy. When I retired, I had more time for myself. That’s why last year we decided to buy a plot. Before, I worked as a driver. My wife still works; she is a salesperson in a store. The retirement age has been raised.

Vitaly believes that the option of living in DNT is the most economical.

“We don’t have dues here.” We only pay taxes, and also for electricity, gas and garbage collection. But in terms of money, these are mere pennies. We have our own water – in a well. It’s cheaper to live here than in the city. You know what zeros city bills come with,” says Vitaly. “But we won’t sell anything for now.” The apartment is in my wife’s name, and the house is in my name. It turned out interesting for us. Two weeks after buying a house, a social gasification program began working in this village. And the process did not start, but rushed at high speed. For us, gasification was at an affordable cost. About 60 thousand was spent on connection, project, installation of meters, various taps, visits of specialists, digging trenches for pipes, etc. By the way, I personally chose the equipment myself. I tried to buy something that was more reliable. These expenses amounted to about 70 thousand. Our dacha house is solid. It is made of brick, and the top is an attic version. If you’re going to buy something for your home, then it’s something that will last forever, not just one-time use. Our heating works, we have a civilized bathroom and toilet. There is a dry basement. All that remains is to complete the repairs, and it will be a sweetie. You can live very well. That’s what we do.

I didn’t expect such an attitude

– I’ll say separately about the employees of the gas organization. I was pleasantly surprised by the professionals who came to us. They explained and suggested. They even rushed us to buy equipment,” says Vitaly. “We just didn’t expect this.” I imagined that there would be a lot of hassle and paperwork. He even offered his services to the gas workers – to pick them up from the office and bring them to the dacha to speed things up. They refused. Then they promptly came when necessary. They advised us, told us where to save money and how. Everything was like a fairy tale with a happy ending. This attitude simply shocked me, to be honest. There were no delays. As a professional driver, I can compare the speed of the gas team as if they had turned on the afterburner. This is a function of increasing engine thrust to quickly gain speed. We have the villages of Yagodny and Solnechny nearby. I talked to people, and many boasted that they were connected in literally a month. But, as it turned out later, they did some of the documents in advance. That was also possible. We were in no hurry. Here, all around us, gasification is “boiling”, and steam is pouring out. People are happy, honestly. The gas guys are simply handsome. I have no other words: they cook, they dig, they assemble, they answer questions, explain, give advice. Miracles, and that’s all. This is not the 90s, when they came, dug up, and threw a pipe. She was lying around, and then someone stole her – that’s all gasification. I have something to compare with how things are done today and how people were screwed over before, in the 90s. If I could describe in a nutshell what is happening today with gas connections, I would say: civilization, control, speed of work. For example, if we take the situation in Bataysk as a whole, we have very bad roads. Nobody cares about the city. It’s only 8 km from us to the center of the district, and our administration doesn’t “catch mice” at all. Let them better learn how to work from our gas workers!

On Aksai, on Glebovskaya Street, house 19, words of gratitude were also expressed to the employees of the gas organization. Maxim Lugovoy bought a house here at the beginning of the year.

– Immediately after the purchase, I realized that gas needed to be installed in the cottage. After all, using gas equipment is convenient and economical,” says Maxim. – I came to the local gas organization and submitted an application. We examined it quickly. After this, a gasification project was drawn up, and installation work began. Part of the work took place simultaneously: paperwork and maintenance. That’s why it took only two weeks for gas to appear in our family’s house. We are very pleased.

The family of Evgeny Demchenko from Novocherkassk moved to a new house number 9 on Rabochy Spusk Street back in 2009. Everything here was wonderful, if not to say that the dwelling itself was not gasified. Maybe it’s not so bad, it’s safer. Demchenko lived without gas for 12 years. But now everyone is trying to save a pretty penny. Only billionaires can afford to live large.

– The amounts for paying for communal apartments, especially for electricity, came out cosmic. And this despite the fact that there was a discount for a non-gasified house, – says Eugene. “That’s why our family decided to switch to using blue fuel. We submitted documents through Gosuslugi. Or you could submit an application on the official website of the special project and find out the list of documents and step-by-step instructions there. By the way, we didn’t even have to stand in line. Construction work began immediately. Soon our house was supplied with gas. Everything went well. Thank you for such a program where gas is supplied to the boundaries of the site for free. And it’s good that the Government of the Russian Federation made the program unlimited from March 1, 2023. Secondary gasification is extended to medical and educational organizations: kindergartens, schools, clinics, hospitals. Our authorities took care of everyone
