Frozen residents of Klimovsk were jealous of the seriously ill patients in the hospital: “At least they were flooded there”

For several days now he has been lying in the surgical department of city hospital No. 2 in Klimovsk. A man who permanently lives in Domodedovo was unlucky to end up in a medical institution with an acute purulent abscess during the New Year holidays and terrible frosts, which led to a complete collapse of the heating system.

“It so happened that the injection was given incorrectly and inflammation began,” says the patient.

But this turned out to be not the most difficult test that lay ahead of him.

In the morning, all four patients in their room woke up from the bitter cold. The air temperature dropped lower and lower every minute. In addition, the water was turned off.

One of the patients, according to him, is lying with gangrene and may have to undergo amputation. Dmitry’s condition also left much to be desired. Also stress…

“We started calling 112,” says Mayorov. — The dispatcher replied that there was an accident in the boiler room. They do everything, but for some reason the heating does not start. We called all services, but they were either busy or did not answer.”

Here you need to understand that the patients in the surgical department are mostly bedridden; instead of taking care of their own health, they had to pick up their mobile phones, and in response they only heard intermittent beeps.

Later it turned out that the breakthrough occurred on the central heating main. Not only the hospital, but the entire city was plunged into complete chaos. Relatives brought warm clothes. The same Dmitry put on four sweaters, three trousers and a jacket.

By evening, all of Russia already knew about a separate apocalypse in the Moscow region. And the fact that the problem began with a private boiler house, but then spread on a large scale to the entire municipal municipal system, which could not withstand the overload.

Hypothermia is extremely harmful for severe purulent patients. Almost the same as overheating. Therefore, when heat guns were urgently delivered to the department, they were not happy for long either. “Every 15 minutes they had to be turned off because it became unbearably stuffy. We didn’t sleep almost all night. All with severe pain. It’s hot, it’s cold. “I started to get worse,” my interlocutor continues.

There was no point in being discharged home either, since half the city was without heat. People warmed themselves in the courtyards around fires. Blankets were distributed at the operational headquarters. Friends called the hospital and said that it was better to stay there for now – they would be healthier.

But when water started flowing into the radiators a day later, the pipes immediately couldn’t handle it—they burst. Which is also not very good from a hygiene point of view. After all, the department is surgical, there are many purulent patients.

Nevertheless, Dmitry asks to thank the doctors for everything they have done and are doing for their patients in such a difficult situation.

“I bow to both doctors and nurses, they are not omnipotent either, we understand. But they also provided us with moral support,” the man sighs.

He says that in principle everything is wonderful in the hospital, especially the human attitude, it’s a pity that some medicines and specialists are missing. “This also does not depend on the doctors. They are doing everything they can,” the patient is confident.

Now Dmitry is waiting for another surgical intervention to avoid complications. And he is very worried that problems with light may begin in the future. Although there is probably an emergency generator somewhere nearby, who knows how it will work in such a situation. You can’t trust anything. Almost…
