From the democratic history of Germany – Moskovskaya Pravda

90 years ago world criminal No. 1 Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of Germany. And then – the president and chancellor in one person, the Fuhrer, the dictator. Everything happened in a legal, democratic way, with the approval of 89% of the electorate.

In January 1919, the German Workers’ Party was formed in Munich’s Sterneckerbrau. February 24, 1920 in the beer “Hofbräuhaus“the first mass meeting took place, at which Adolf Hitler proclaimed a political program. On the same day, February 24, the German Workers’ Party was transformed into the German National Socialist Workers’ Party (NSDAP). Note that the word “working” was introduced in the name of the party. The party of the workers, the working class, that is, the most ordinary citizens, the majority of the population.

The ideology is as simple as Hitler’s corporal epaulettes. Anti-Semitism, anti-communism, racism, revenge. The emphasis was on the fact that Germany, which was defeated in the First World War, was humiliated and insulted, deprived of its “historically legitimate territories.” And therefore it is necessary to restore the former “greatness of the German Reich.”

This ideology quickly took hold of the masses. If in 1928 in the elections to the Reichstag the NSDAP won 2.6% of the vote, then in 1932 it was already 37.4%. And she became the ruler.

On January 30, 1933, Reich President Hindenburg appointed Hitler, leader of the NSDAP, Reich Chancellor of Germany. All according to the law, in a democratic way.

Already on February 3, 1933, Hitler publicly outlined the goals and objectives: the destruction of Marxism, the elimination of the “cancer of democracy”, the introduction of universal military service, “the capture of a new living space in the East and its merciless Germanization.”

A month later, the Reichstag caught fire. The story is dark and unrevealed to this day. The authorities blamed the communists. Reich President Hindenburg signed decrees prepared by Hitler’s government – “On the protection of the people and the state” and “Against the betrayal of the German people and the intrigues of traitors to the motherland.” Freedom of speech, press, assembly and rallies were limited; introduced the viewing of correspondence and wiretapping of telephones, imprisonment without trial and investigation under “protective arrest“.

In the 1933 elections, the NSDAP received 43.9% of the vote.

A year later, on August 2, 1934, Reich President Hindenburg died. The day before his death, a law was passed on combining the offices of president and chancellor. Hitler became head of state, supreme commander. According to the results of the referendum, 89.9% of Germans supported the unification of posts.

Thus, in an absolutely democratic way, the Nazi regime was finally established in Germany,

How could this happen? The answer has already been given by history.

Including the scientist, writer Sebastian Hafner. (Birth name – Raimund Pretzel.) Including in his book “The History of a German.” In 1938, he managed to leave for the UK, where he immediately began work on his “History …” But … During his lifetime, he did not publish it. He died in 1999 at the age of 91. The writer’s son discovered the manuscript in the archives and published it in 2000. In Russia, it was released in 2016 under the title “The Story of a German: a private man against a thousand-year-old Reich.”

From the very first page, Hafner raises the question of the relationship between the private individual and the Nazi state.

About how and why the masses accepted and welcomed the Nazi ideology, the Nazi regime, Sebastian Hafner, in particular, writes:

“War as a great, inspiring and exciting game of peoples, capable of bestowing deeper feelings and stronger emotions than anything peaceful life can offer – such was the daily experience of a whole generation of German schoolchildren from 1914 to 1918; this became the basis of the positive image of Nazism … The swastika infiltrated the German masses, which turned out to be a shapeless, mushy dough. The day will come – and the dough will just as easily and without resistance take any other shape.

12 years ruled in Germany by Hitler, the Nazi regime. Only 12 years old. And during this time he brought incredible disasters to countries and peoples. During the Second World War, unleashed by Hitler, Nazi Germany, according to various estimates, from 50 to 70 million people died. Most of them are civilians.
