Forecaster Shuvalov: Muscovites should prepare for serious cold weather over the next 3 days
In the next three days in Moscow the thermometer will drop to particularly low levels. The head of the Meteo forecast center, Alexander Shuvalov, spoke about the weather conditions for the coming days, as quoted by Evening Moscow.
According to him, a sharp cooling will begin due to the influx of cold Arctic air through the northwest: Karelia, the Leningrad region, and the northwest of European territory. In addition, the weather is influenced by the area of atmospheric pressure.
The expert also warned that Muscovites should prepare for serious cold weather over the next three days. From Friday to Sunday, from February 9 to 11, the temperature outside will drop to minus 15–20 degrees at night and minus 10–13 degrees during the day.
By Monday, February 12, the temperature in the capital will rise to minus 5-9 degrees, then the thermometers will creep down again, the forecaster said. This process of forcing cold from the north will not stop almost until mid-February, Shuvalov concluded.
