For the mobilized, guardhouses are being equipped in the Central Military District

The Ministry of Defense spoke about the instruction to the commanders of military units to equip guardhouses for the detention of detainees mobilized. Such premises will appear in the training centers of the Central Military District (TsVO) (includes the Urals, Siberian and Volga federal districts). State Duma deputy Maxim Ivanov (United Russia) sent a request to restore the guardhouses in training centers to the ministry.
“Back in November, they discussed with the Elani command that the “lip” (the slang name for the guardhouse.—“b”) is still needed in training centers … I sent a request to the Ministry of Defense. I received a prompt and positive answer: orders have been given, the corresponding premises will be equipped in the military units-formers responsible for the training of mobilized military personnel, ”the deputy wrote in his Telegram. He attached a scan of a letter from the Ministry of Defense to the publication.
The parliamentarian explained the request for the creation of guardhouses for the mobilized by the fact that, in his opinion, among the military “there will always be one figure who sows confusion or behaves impudently according to the charter.”
According to decree President of Russia “On Approval of the Charter of the Military Police of the Armed Forces”, the maximum period of stay in the guardhouse for military personnel is 45 days. It is not included in the total service life.
On January 11, the Odintsovo garrison military court sentenced Alexander Leshkov, who had been mobilized, to five years and six months in a strict regime colony for beating a commander during his military service (part 3, article 334 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The military prosecutor’s office and the defense did not agree with this decision.
