The Amur tigress had five cubs in one litter. Such a family was first caught on video in the Land of the Leopard National Park, which is located in Primorye. The staff shared the press service of the institution.
“For the first time in the world, six red-listed Amur tigers at once – the “mother heroine” and her kittens – fell into the lens of a camera trap in the wild, in the Leopard Land National Park in Primorsky Krai,” reads the caption to the post on the Telegram channel.
Biologists said the tigress showed “superpowers” by raising such a large troop of cubs. In the pictures they all look healthy and well-fed.
Most often, three kittens are born in a litter. Science knows rare cases of the appearance of five kittens of the Amur tiger in captivity. But then the servants of zoos or aviaries helped to take care of them.
