Football player Alexander Golovin spoke about his desire to return to Russia in the future. In 2018, he moved to Europe, where he plays for the Monaco club – his contract runs until June 2026.

“I definitely want to live in Russia. No matter how well I have adapted there, I still like my country too much. There are relatives, friends and so on. I think that this is only Russia, without options,” said Alexander Golovin in an interview on YouTube channel journalist Nobel Arustamyan.

He added that he misses dumplings and “our mentality” abroad. In Europe, according to the footballer, people think differently, which is “not bad, but not in the way that is familiar and comfortable.”

In the interview, Alexander Golovin also spoke about the decrease in motivation in playing for the Russian national team due to the lack of international tournaments. Comparing the play and intensity of training between Russian and European teams, he added that athletes in Russia “don’t bite the ground.”

Alexander Golovin moved to Monaco from CSKA Moscow. This season he was named the best player of the month in the football club three times in a row.
