Large-scale Greco-Roman wrestling competitions were held in Dinskaya

In the village of Dinskaya, Krasnodar Territory, the Christmas open tournament in Greco-Roman wrestling for the prizes of the world and European champion, Honored Master of Sports Stepan Maryanyan ended. The competition was held for the sixth time and brought together more than 250 participants from 20 regions of the country.
How reports official information portal of the regional administration, as part of the competition, Olympic champion Davit Chakvetadze, world and European champion Nikita Melnikov, as well as Russian champions Yuri Denisov and Alexander Golovin held their master classes for young athletes. They competed for awards in 15 weight categories.
The Kuban team became the best team in the final protocol, collecting 34 medals of various denominations. Of these, seven turned out to be gold. Wrestlers from the Republic of Crimea took second place in the team championship. Athletes from the Rostov region rounded out the top three winners.
Wrestlers from Krasnodar, Anapa, Sochi and Novorossiysk especially distinguished themselves in the tournament as part of the national team of our region.
