FOM: half of Russians are anxious

According to a study by the Public Opinion Foundation conducted among 1,500 Russian residents in 53 regions of the country, anxiety experienced exactly 50% of the country’s population.
Sociologists also found that, in general, a slightly smaller proportion of respondents, 45%, feel calm.
In addition, the survey helped to find out that relatives and friends among half of Russians also tend to experience anxiety. Note that a week ago this figure was 52%.
Meanwhile, 45% of Russians answered that their environment is in a rather calm mood – a week ago there were 42% of such people.
Recall that in December, FOM conducted a survey among the Russian population regarding rising food prices. Thus, 26% of respondents noted that prices for bread and bakery products have increased. 38% of respondents saw an increase in prices for meat and poultry, 25% found that eggs have risen in price. 30% of Russians said that milk and dairy products have noticeably become more expensive.
The Russians could not help but notice the rise in prices for housing and communal services. The number of those who reported a rise in the cost of a communal apartment was 36%. Also, 20% of Russians reported an increase in the cost of medical services. Tariffs for travel in passenger transport have also risen in price – 15% think so.
