Folk omens March 10: do not sleep at work

March 10 in the folk calendar – Taras Sleepless. It is believed that on this day you should not go to bed before sunset, otherwise you can get seriously ill. But if a person is already sick and takes action on this day to start fighting the disease, the treatment will be successful.

People who needed daytime sleep were protected from adversity by attaching a thistle flower to the bed. They also made special dolls from straw or rags – they believed that the spirit of diseases would confuse it with a person and move into a toy. The next day, such dolls were burned at the stake – in order to destroy the disease that could move into it.

During the day, it is not the mother who should put the child to sleep, but another family member, preferably a male. Otherwise, the baby may become moody and whiny.

A good day today for doing good deeds: according to signs, helping a person in need today is good luck and well-being in the family. But you can’t lend or give your things or your child’s clothes to someone – to problems and illnesses.

Even the people believed that diseases threatened those who would look into their house from the street through the window, and if you cut your hair, you can shorten your fate.

But the day is good for planting seedlings of cabbage and tomatoes – it is believed that then it will be possible to get a good harvest of these vegetables.

Folk signs on March 10 are as follows:

– if it snows – the week before Easter (this year Easter – April 16) will be cold and rainy;

– if the day is rainy – to the imminent flood;

– if the birds swim in the snow or puddles – to warming;

– if thunder rumbles – to a cold snap;

If the weather is warm, the summer will be sunny.

Dreams that are dreamed on the night of March 11 can be prophetic and come true on the third day.
