Radiometers, dosimeters, radiation detection units, as well as an information processing and transmission unit developed by the Doza research and production enterprise in the capital, will be delivered to four modernized Russian nuclear floating power units (MPEP).
“Moscow is one of the world’s largest centers of science and technology – over 3.5 thousand industrial sites operate in the capital, where they develop and produce goods necessary in various spheres of life,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
He clarified that one of the city’s manufacturers, NPP Doza, signed a contract for the production and supply of automated radiation monitoring systems.
These systems will monitor the radiation background on nuclear floating power units, which are used in the work of industrial enterprises and mining complexes.
According to Aleksey Nurlybaev, General Director of NPP Doza, the system is designed to control the radiation parameters of nuclear icebreakers, ships and floating structures. Previously, it has already been used on four Russian nuclear icebreakers, as well as a vessel for transporting liquid radioactive waste.
It should be noted that the location of industrial sites in Moscow gives investors the opportunity to enter large markets. In addition, the city provides industries with a wide range of support measures.
