“We agreed with the Department of Protected Areas (Specially Protected Natural Territories) … and with our foresters, with colleagues in the regions: make sure that each national park has an agreement signed with local regional services to respond to this territory,” he said. official.

Kozlov added that the national parks in the country were created in order to preserve nature in its original form. Because of this, the methods used to extinguish natural fires, for example, in settlements, are not applicable to them.
The area of protected areas in Russia, according to Kozlov, is 75 million hectares.
