In the funeral hall of the Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow, a farewell ceremony is being held for political scientist Gleb Pavlovsky. His relatives and friends, colleagues and acquaintances came to the civil memorial service, RIA Novosti reports with reference to its own correspondent.
Mr. Pavlovsky died February 26 at the age of 72 in the First Moscow Hospice named after Vera Millionshchikova after a long illness.
In 1991-1992, Gleb Pavlovsky was deputy chairman of the board of the Kommersant publishing house, in 1994-1995 he was the editor and publisher of the quarterly Limits of Power, in 1995-1996 he was the founder and co-editor of the journalistic review Sreda. From October 2005 to April 2008, he hosted the Real Politics program on NTV.
In 1995, he founded the Effective Policy Fund, which developed Vladimir Putin’s 2000 presidential campaign. Gleb Pavlovsky also took part in the election campaign of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych in 2004.
