Moscow will ensure the integration of the high-speed highway VSM-1, which in the future will connect the two capitals, with urban transport in Moscow. This was stated by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin following a meeting in Verkhnyaya Pyshma on the development of high-speed transport. The instruction to begin implementing the HSR-1 project was given at this meeting by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Over the last 13 years, we have seen an unprecedented development of transport in the city of Moscow, this is a comprehensive development: modern buses, metro stations,” says Stepan Orlov, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow City Duma, head of the United Russia party faction in the Moscow City Duma. – The railway began to play a huge role among Muscovites. And now there is another new project: the Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed highway will greatly help in the country’s economy, in the development of tourism, culture, and the social sphere. It is very important that the Moscow Government and Moscow Mayor S. Sobyanin personally support this project.”
The launch of a high-speed highway is a large-scale project that involves a huge number of people and enterprises of our industry, says Ilya Zotov, a member of the Public Chamber. “It is worth taking into account the successful developments that already exist in the city of Moscow – the launch of the Ivolga train on the MCD did not take place yesterday, but for several years it has been operating and is constantly being modernized, taking into account the requests of passengers that exist,” the social activist suggests.
