The mayor of Magadan supported the initiative to euthanize aggressive stray animals
Magadan Mayor Yuri Grishan intends to tighten measures to deal with stray animals. This is said on portal city administration.
According to local experts, 138 requests for the capture of stray animals have already been recorded this year, the bulk of which came from the city center. In January, 4 city residents were bitten by stray dogs.
According to Grishan, people’s concerns about homeless animals are justified. In this regard, the city mayor ordered the preparation of proposals for amendments to the adopted regional law, which allows the euthanasia of stray dogs if they are socially dangerous.
