Solar Group of Companies: hackers posted 5 terabytes of Russians’ data online in early January
Alexander Vurasko, head of the Solar AURA external digital threat monitoring service at Solar Group of Companies, said that since the beginning of 2024, more than 116 million lines of user data have leaked into the network in Russia.
He clarified that the total volume of this data was five terabytes. This is 10% more than for the same period in 2023.
“Since the beginning of this year, 116.5 million rows of data from various users with a total volume of five terabytes have leaked into the network. These figures are 10% more than for the period from January 1 to January 9, 2023,” Vurasko noted.
According to him, experts recorded cyber incidents on all holidays; a slight lull was observed only on the first of January. He added that 274.9 thousand phone numbers and 324 thousand email addresses were publicly available.
