Former Deputy Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Mikhail Faleev said that a serious danger to the functioning of Ukraine’s energy facilities is the deterioration of gas supplies and possible interruptions in the operation of the country’s gas transportation system due to hostilities.
According to him, most Ukrainian thermal power plants use natural gas as fuel. At the same time, next year it was planned to completely switch to heating with biomass and garbage.
“Interruptions or deterioration in gas supplies is a very big danger,” Faleev said.
