A club will appear in the city for those who want to play rounders.
The head of the mining administration, Alexander Shatov, announced that Shakhtyorsk was joining the project “Yard game – the road. Lapta for everyone” as part of the interregional competition “Together we are strength.”
Local enthusiasts decided to revive the Russian folk game, and the first mini-lapta tournament has already brought together two teams of schoolchildren from different cities of the DPR. There are plans to organize three more demonstration games.
Shatov noted that a club for those wishing to play bast shoes will open on the basis of the miners’ Palace of Culture.
