21-year-old Russian biathlete Kira Dyuzheva told how she encountered a bear during training. The girl trained with her sister, they were very lucky that the bear did not pursue them, writes Sport24.
“My sister and I were in training, it was a control cross. I then ran barefoot on the sand. After it, we walked towards our village, and I look down at my feet, raise my head in a moment and see a bear, ”Kira shared.
According to her, the predator was standing just in the direction they were heading. The athlete admitted that she fell into a stupor and could not move from horror. Her sister brought her back to reality with her cry, the girls rushed to run towards the nearest village.
Fortunately, the predator did not pursue the girls, he only stood on his hind legs and looked after them, Dyuzheva added.
This year, Dyuzheva joined the training group of Mikhail Shashilov.
